Wasabi Farming & Related Challenges
Also known as “green gold,” authentic wasabi is one of the most lucrative crops in the world and is deemed by most experts to be the most challenging plant to grow commercially. Wasabi sells for AU$250/kg and is in short supply, not to mention that the crop's leaves and petioles can also be sold for high-profit margins when cultivated correctly.
Distinguish Between Fake & Real
Wasabi requires specific growing conditions, including location, climate, and water. Because of this, there is a permanent shortage of wasabi worldwide, and more than 95% of the wasabi offered in sushi restaurants is fake. The most common imitation wasabi is created by combining horseradish, mustard powder, and green.
Wasabi-Growing Method
After five years of research, we developed our wasabi-growing technology using our farm management knowledge. Our wasabi is cultivated in a cost-effective shade cloth house using a hydroponic technique specifically tailored to the development of wasabi. It is positioned in the "A" frame gutter, which is elevated and has various elevations.
We won't waste water; compared to traditional farming, we use 95% less. Nutrition water is also adjustable according to our growth stage to promote the best possible growth of the crops.
